Sansevieria parva is a species of plant in the genus Sansevieria in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae). The specific epithet parva is derived from the Latin word parvus and means 'small, small, insignificant, insignificant'.
description
Sansevieria parva grows stemless or short stem-forming as a perennial, succulent plant with about 0.85 centimeters thick, brownish-orange rhizomes , some of which are scaly. The trunk, which is usually covered by leaf bases, becomes up to 12.5 centimeters high. The 6 to 14 succulent, rosetted leaves are initially ascending, later spread out and linear to lanceolate in shape. The simple leaf blade is 20 to 45 inches long and 0.85 to 3 inches wide. It is somewhat narrowed in a rutted stem and provided with clearly irregular, dark and light transverse bands, which are more evenly green and indistinctly drawn with age. The 38 to 76 millimeter long spreader tip is quite soft. The edge of the spread is green. The leaf surface is smooth.
The simple, spiked inflorescences are up to 30 centimeters high. The panicles are loosely covered with one or two flowers per tuft. The bracts are pointed lanceolate and 3.2 to 4.2 millimeters long. The green flower stalk is 4.2 to 5.3 millimeters long. The bloom bracts are pale pink to white. They have a 1.06 to 1.16 centimeter long tube.

Sansevieria parva is common in Kenya and Uganda in forests between 1660 and 2135 meters altitude.
