- Italy: Latins and Greeks under the leadership of the tyrant Aristodemos of Cumae defeat Arun's Porsenna in the Battle of Aricia . By defeating the son of Lars Porsenna , the Etruscan ruler of Clusium , they end the rule of the Etruscans in Rome and thus enable the development of the Roman Republic .
