According to legend, Titus Larcius and Postumus Cominius are consuls of the Roman Republic . Due to unrest in the city, which threatens to develop into a war with the Sabines , Titus Larcius is said to have been appointed for the first time a Roman dictator . Its magister equitum is last year's consul Spurius Cassius Vecellinus .
