Anton Foerster
Anton Foerster (* 20th December 1837 in Osenice , Bohemia ; † 17th April 1926 in Novo Mesto , Yugoslavia ) was a composer of romance .
Josef Foerster's brother worked from 1868 to 1909 as cathedral music director in Laibach and from 1877 headed the organ school of the Caecilienverein . He composed the comic opera Gorenjski slavček (1870–71 originally as an operetta ) and the opera Dom in rod (1919–23), which is still performed today , as well as masses and proprien , published Slovene folk songs and wrote several textbooks.
