Gustav Augspurg (born July 19, 1837 in Winsen , Kingdom of Hanover ; † November 9, 1906 in Lehe , Province of Hanover ) was a German lawyer and mayor.

Life

Augspurg's parents were Gustav Ludwig Christoph Augspurg (born November 4, 1797 in Hoya) and Clara Franziska Pauline nee. Isenbart . The father was a lawyer at the Lüneburg Supreme Court . After Michaelis had passed his Abitur at the Ernestinum Celle in 1858 , Gustav Augspurg studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . In 1859 he was in the Corps Hildeso-Guestphalia recipiert . As an inactive , he moved to the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1869 he settled in Soltau as a lawyer . In April of the same year he married Marie Anna Bente (* 1846). In 1884 he became mayor of Lehe as the successor to Gustav Fels. He held the office for 22 years until his death at the age of 69. His successor was Theodor Johannes Schmiedel. A street in Lehe is named after Augspurg.
