Rudolf Bahn

Rudolf Bahn (born May 29, 1837 in Havelberg ; † February 12, 1913 in Sorau ) was an entrepreneur and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Rudolf Bahn attended the community school in Havelberg from 1843 to 1849 and the grammar school in Neuruppin from 1849 to 1854. He devoted himself to a commercial career and joined the JG Frenzel company in Sorau in 1864 as a partner and in 1898 withdrew from the management of the business . He fulfilled his military duty as a one-year volunteer in Infantry Regiment No. 12 from 1859 to 1860. From 1874 onwards he was a member of the former Sorau Chamber of Commerce, later Chamber of Commerce for the eastern Lower Lusatia to Sorau and chairman of the same since 1895. He was also a member of the Board member of the Leinen-Berufsgenossenschaft and chairman of its Section 6, member of the magistrate, the church council and the board of the district synod. In addition, he was a member of the board of the Prussian higher technical school for the textile industry, chairman of the Märkisch Lausitzer Association for the dissemination of popular education and member of boards of various charitable institutions. He was the bearer of the Red Eagle Order IV class .

From 1903 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Frankfurt 8 Sorau , Forst and the National Liberal Party .
