Wilhelm Asmus
Wilhelm Asmus (born February 17, 1837 in Lübeck , † February 20, 1902 in Weimar ) was a German writer.
Live and act
Asmus attended high school in Lübeck and studied philosophy in Leipzig . Then he turned to the theater. He first performed in Switzerland before appearing on various stages in Germany. In 1869 Asmus switched to the City Theater in Breslau as a director . He was also the director of the Theater Academy in Wroclaw. In 1871 he gave up the theater completely. He now devoted himself to writing and was a freelance editor in Schweidnitz , Striegau and Hirschberg . As a writer, he wrote various works and was editor-in-chief of the "Hallische Zeitung" from 1889. In 1893 he was appointed editor-in-chief of the "Weimarische Zeitung" in Weimar .
