Christian von Aicholt

Christian Graf von Aicholt (* 1754 ; † 1838 ) came from the Austro-Carinthian nobility.

From 1810 to 1815 he held the following offices in Linz :

  • 1810 President of the National Land Rights,
  • 1810 to 1812 provisional head of the Obderennsische Landesverwaltung,
  • 1812 to 1815 President of the Obderennsian state government,

From 1815 to 1822 Aicholt was Governor of Inner Austria (President of the Styrian-Carinthian Gubernium in Graz). In 1822 he received the requested retirement for health reasons and at the same time was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Order of St. Stephen , after which he lived in Klagenfurt for a few years.
