Bernhard Gottlieb von Hingenau

Bernhard Gottlieb Freiherr von Hingenau (born July 27, 1759 in Graz , † June 16, 1833 in Graz) worked in various government functions. From 1815 to 1827 he was President of the Obderennsischen state government in Linz .

biography

Hingenau was the son of the inner Austrian district administrator Franz Gottlieb Freiherrn von Hingenau and Aloisia Freiin von Berlendis. He entered the civil service at a young age, was district chief in Klagenfurt from 1787 to 1802, then a delegate in Padua, councilor of the court chancellery in Vienna and from 1808 vice-president of the Styrian governorate . In 1815 he was appointed President of the Government of the Archduchy of Austria ob der Enns and remained in this position until his retirement in 1827. He died on June 16, 1833 in Graz.
