Siegfried Haider

Siegfried Haider (born January 19, 1943 in Linz ) is an Austrian historian and archivist .

Live and act

Haider received his doctorate as Dr. phil. He is a member of the Institute for Austrian Historical Research and was director of the Upper Austrian Provincial Archives from 1989 to 2003 . He was an associate professor for history of the Middle Ages and historical auxiliary sciences at the University of Vienna .

Since 1961 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KaV Marco-Danubia Vienna .

Haider wrote numerous academic articles on Upper Austrian regional history, which were published in various specialist journals, festschriften etc. a. the following independent publications:
