List of provincial governors of Carinthia

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of provincial governors of Carinthia lists all provincial governors of Carinthia as well as the respective governors of the country to which Carinthia was assigned at that time for the period of non-independence as a country. The office of governor in Carinthia has functions that are quite similar to those that have been held today since the 13th century .

The documented term of office is given here. At times, for example in the second half of the 15th century, instead of a governor, only a provincial administrator was active; in these cases the state was under the direct sovereignty of the king or emperor in his function as Duke of Carinthia.
