Count Franz Deym von Střítež (also Franz de Paula Severin Wenzel Maria Philipp Benitius Count Deym von Střítež ; born August 23, 1838 in Neuschloß bei Hohenelbe , Bohemia ; † September 3, 1903 in Eckersdorf , Neurode district ) was an Austrian diplomat and knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece .

Life

Franz Deym von Střítež came from the Bohemian noble family Deym . His parents were the imperial treasurer and field marshal lieutenant Franz de Paula Deym von Střítež (1807–1872) and Ludmilla von Waldstein-Wartenberg (1815–1857), a daughter of Ferdinand Ernst von Waldstein . He initially embarked on a military career and was a lieutenant in 1860. A year later he switched to the diplomatic service and in the same year became embassy attaché in St. Petersburg . In 1869 he was Legation Councilor to the Holy See , in 1870 he was in Brussels and in 1874 in London. In 1879 the large Bohemian landowners elected him to the Imperial Council , to which he was re-elected in 1885.

From 1887 he was a member of the manor house . In the same year he became envoy in Munich . He was appointed Ambassador to London one year .

Franz Deym von Střítež was married to Anna von Schlabrendorf (* 1852 in Breslau ; † 1919 in Neuschloß ). Children came from marriage
