Roofscape
A roofscape is the name given to the elaborate roofs of a building or the roof view of a city.
Normally, a roof consists of a main roof, but there are more complicated roof crumbs, roofs of extensions and roof openings, one speaks of a roof landscape. Many historical representative buildings such as cathedrals , town halls , castles and former mansions have very extensive and lavishly designed roofs .
Significant roofscapes of urban space can be found in old towns , such as the cities of Regensburg , Lübeck , Bamberg , Rothenburg ob der Tauber , Passau , Wismar , Graz , Salzburg , Bern in German-speaking, or Florence , Avignon , Córdoba , Toledo or Prague in their structural diversity and harmony are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site .
