This is a list of the Austrian envoys in Bavaria .

history

Until 1806 the Habsburg House of Austria provided the emperors of the Holy Roman Empire , only interrupted 1743–1745. Diplomatic representations of the Habsburgs were first and foremost imperial and they claimed to represent the whole empire. During the Spanish War of Succession , Munich was occupied by imperial troops from 1705 to 1714 . From 1867 to 1918 Austria was part of Austria-Hungary . From 1623 Bavaria was an electorate, from January 1806 a kingdom, from 1815 a member of the German Confederation and from 1871 a member state of the German Empire.
