Adam Franz von Hartig

Adam Franz Graf von Hartig (born March 25, 1724 in Prague , † November 15, 1783 in Augsburg ) was an Austrian diplomat .

He was the second-born son of Ludwig Josef Graf von Hartig (1685–1735) and Maria Theresia Esther Putz von Adlersthurn (1686–1740), who was raised to the bohemian state on February 20, 1719 and raised to the rank of imperial count on March 10, 1732 .

Hartig was initially electoral Bohemian envoy , later imperial minister to the Franconian - Swabian Reichskreis and Reichstag in Regensburg , as well as envoy to the electoral Bavarian court in Munich . He was president of the imperial learned society .

On June 16, 1768, Hartig, previously only belonging to the Bohemian count, was raised to the imperial count with the title "High and Well Born".

Hartig married Countess Maria Theresa von Kolowrat-Krakowsky (* April 5, 1731 - April 7, 1791) from Radenin ( Tábor , Bohemia) on November 7, 1752 . His son was the diplomat, historian, poet and geographer Franz Anton von Hartig (1758–1797), and his grandson Franz Graf von Hartig (1789–1865) was an Austrian diplomat and publicist.
