Tobias C. Bringmann

Tobias C. Bringmann (born October 18, 1970 in Lindau (Lake Constance) ) is a German historian and association official.

Life

Tobias Bringmann initially worked as a newscaster, presenter and foreign correspondent for Radio Lindau , Radio Belcanto (Munich) and Klassik Radio . He studied history, art history and law in Marburg and Freiburg . Since 1991 he has been a corps bow bearer from Suevia Strasbourg to Marburg. For his dissertation published in 1996 (supervised by Hans Fenske ) at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg , he did research a. a. at the Secret State Archive of Prussian Cultural Heritage on the subject of constitutional history The duel question as an internal political conflict in the German Empire 1871–1918 . His research in letters, diaries and the minutes of the Reichstag , some of which had not yet been discovered, led him to the realization that the debates about the legality of duels raised the value of the Reichstag in its social perception before the First World War . After studying the documents in the Secret State Archives of Prussian Cultural Heritage on the subject of the Kotze affair , he attributes the authorship of letters with which Leberecht von Kotze was scandalized to Charlotte von Prussia (1860-1919) .

From 1999 to 2009 he was press spokesman for the CDU Baden-Württemberg . Since February 1, 2009 he has been the managing director of the Association of Municipal Enterprises (VKU), Baden-Württemberg regional group.
