Josef Hötte

Josef Hötte junior (born September 3, 1838 in Münster , † January 20, 1919 in Münster) was a fur trader and patron .

Hötte owned a house on Domplatz 39, at the corner of Michaelisplatz, in Münster. He had his summer residence at Haus Heidhorn from his uncle Joseph Hötte sen. inherited. In 1905 he left the house to the Sisters of Divine Providence , who set up a rest home for their fellow sisters here. His wife Emilie Hötte, née Primavesi, died in 1911, Joseph Hötte in 1919. They were buried in the old chapel and reburied in the new chapel.

His foundations include the Marian column near the Ludgerikirche in Münster and the Reinhildis fountain in Riesenbeck (1912).
