Pierre Martin Rémi Aucher-Éloy (born October 2, 1792 in Blois , † October 6, 1838 in Djulfa , Iran ) was a French botanist and explorer . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is " Aucher "; earlier the abbreviation “ Also. “Used.

After training in Orléans and Paris, he moved to Istanbul in 1830 to collect plants in the Orient. He wanted to create a herbarium of the plants of the Orient. From 1830 to 1838 he traveled extensively in Asia Minor and the Middle East. These trips led in 1830 to Egypt , Syria , Cyprus and the Greek island of Kos . In the following years he combed large parts of Turkey, Greece, Iran and other countries. He sold his collected plants to the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle in Paris. Exhausted and sick, he died in Djulfa near Isfahan on October 6, 1838.

His work Rélations de voyages en Orient de 1830 à 1838 was published posthumously in 1843.
