Alois Josef Krakovský von Kolowrat (Czech: Alois Josef hrabě Krakovský z Kolovrat , born January 21, 1759 in Prague , †  March 28, 1833 there ) was auxiliary bishop in Olomouc , bishop of Königgrätz and archbishop of Prague .

Life

He was the son of the Bohemian chief judge Prokop Krakovský von Kolowrat. One brother was Field Marshal Johann Karl Kolowrat-Krakowsky . After studying in Prague and Rome, he obtained a theological doctorate and was ordained a priest . In 1781 he returned to Bohemia and became provost of the Kremsier collegiate monastery , having previously been an Olomouc canon .

On December 22nd, 1800, Alois Josef Krakovský von Kolowrat was appointed auxiliary bishop in Olomouc and titular bishop of Sarepta . He was ordained bishop on March 1, 1801 by the Archbishop of Olomouc and later cardinal, Anton Theodor von Colloredo-Waldsee-Mels , who then appointed him as vicar general .

In 1812 he was made Bishop of Königgrätz and in 1831 Archbishop of Prague, but died two years later.
