Daniel "Danny" Kass (born September 21, 1982 in Vernon Valley , New Jersey ) is an American snowboarder . In 2001 he won the X-Games in the halfpipe . In 2003 he finished second in the same discipline. A year later he won silver in slopestyle and halfpipe at the X Games . In 2005 he also won silver in the slopestyle and bronze in the superpipe at the X Games . At the Olympic Games ( 2002 , 2006 ) he won silver in the halfpipe.

Danny Kass won the halfpipe format of the Burton US Open in 2009, which is the final of the TTR World Snowboard Tour , after which he was able to finish the winter season in world number 268 despite fewer results.

His sponsor Vans created the "Danny Kass" snowboard boots in his honor.
