Winter X Games 2009

The Winter X Games XIII took place from January 22-25, 2009 for the eighth year in a row in Aspen , Colorado . For the first time, a ski slopestyle competition for women and a snowmobile best trick contest were held. A highlight of the games was the largest superpipe at X-Games up to then with a height of 6.7 meters and a length of over 200 meters . In the Next Trick competition, Levi LaValle tried the first double backflip on a snowmobile. The American managed to make the two turns, but the force of the landing threw him out of the saddle and the jump was considered not confessed.
