Friedrich von Donin
Friedrich von Donin (also Friedrich von Dohna ; Czech Bedřich z Donína ; * 1574 ; † 1634 ) was a Bohemian nobleman, traveler and writer.
Friedrich von Donin came from the noble family Dohna . His parents were Wenzel von Donin ( Václav z Donína ; 1534–1598) and Elisabeth von Kolowrat ( Eliska Bezdružická z Kolovrat ; † 1586). In 1602 he married the sister of Jaroslav Borsita von Martinic , Isolde von Martinic .
Friedrich made several trips, including to Austria , Bavaria and twice to Italy , which he described in his travel diaries. He was also the first to describe the caves in Bohemia . He also worked as a district judge, later as a royal adviser.
