Svatopluk Pluskal
Svatopluk Pluskal (born October 28, 1930 in Zlín , Czechoslovakia , † May 29, 2005 in Ústí nad Labem , Czech Republic ) was a Czech football player and football coach . He was considered a technically good, headed and combative midfielder.
Player career
Svatopluk Pluskal started playing football at SK Letná Zlín , in 1947 he moved to Baťa Zlín . In 1952 the midfielder was committed by ATK Prague (from 1956 Dukla), for whom he played until 1966. With Dukla Pluskal was eight times Czechoslovak champion and twice cup winner . He played 282 first division games in which he scored 37 goals. In 1966/67 he played for LIAZ Jablonec and ended his career at the end of the season.
Between 1952 and 1965 he played 56 times for the Czechoslovak national team and scored one goal. He took part in the World Cup in 1954 , 1958 and 1962 , as well as in the European Championship in 1960 .
Pluskal was in the 1963 world selection, in 1964 in the European selection.

Coaching career
From 1968 he worked as a coaching assistant at Bohemians Prague , 1969/70 he was head coach there. From 1971 to 1974 and again from 1976 to 1978 he was a coach with Enosis Neon Paralimni in Cyprus . 1974/75 he was again assistant coach at Bohemians. From 1978 to 1979 he trained Škoda Pilsen , 1980/81 Slovan Pilsen and finally 1981/82 BS Vlašim .
