Sterling Knight
Sterling Sandmann Knight (born March 5, 1989 in Houston , Texas ) is an American actor and singer .
Life
Sterling Knight grew up in Houston, Texas, with a younger brother and sister. His father, who is also his manager, comes from Mexico . He currently lives in Los Angeles , California .
Sterling Knight began his career at the age of 10 with roles in several Houston theater productions including On Golden Pond , Lost in Yonkers , Bye Bye Birdie and Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad . He achieved fame through the role of Chad Dylan Cooper in the television series Sonny Munroe . Before that, however, he had made guest appearances on the series Hannah Montana , The Closer and Grey's Anatomy . In 2007 he played in the film 17 Again - Back to High School as Alex O'Donnel , which was one of the five leading roles. In 2010 he was alongside Danielle Campbell in StarStruck - The Star Who Loved Me in a Leading Role. In the same year the film Elle followed: Sing for your dream . After the end of the series Sonny Munroe , he was seen in their spin-off So Random . 2013 he took over the role of Zander in the ABC Family - sitcom Melissa & Joey .
