Anna Margaret Collins (born June 12, 1996 in Lecompte ) is an American singer , songwriter and actress . Her singing career began in 2010 when she sang the songs "Something About The Sunshine" and "New Boyfriend" for the Disney Channel film StarStruck - The Star Who Loved Me .

Life

Collins has two younger siblings, a brother, Grant, and a sister, Ellie. She has been taking singing lessons and performing on talent shows since she was a child. Her family has had to move several times, including to New Orleans , Dallas and Los Angeles , where she currently lives. This made it possible for her to audition at numerous agencies.

In addition to acting, she is interested in surfing, basketball and horse riding. She received home schooling .

Career

The song "Something About the Sunshine", which she sang with Sterling Knight , reached number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 . In the song's music video, she starred. In 2009 she sang the song "Let it Snow" for Hollywood Records- EP "All Wrapped Up". In 2010 she became the youngest musician to sing on the Hollywood Records label.

Collins current manager is Dalevertis Hurd, previously she sang for Gregory Curtis , producers of Yolanda Adams and Keyshia Cole . Some professionals compared her to singers like Christina Aguilera . One of her role models is Britney Spears , as she also grew up in Louisiana.

She sang the song "An Excellent Source of Happiness" for a McDonald’s commercial and was the brand ambassador for Mattel's American Girl product line .
