Anita Marietta Hopt (born October 3, 1981 in Rotenburg an der Fulda ) is a German actress , singer ( soprano ), audio book and voice actress .

Career

Anita Hopt learned "Dance" and "Drama" from 2000 to 2003 at the Stage School Hamburg . Until 2007 she was lead singer with the band 4 to the bar , then she became a member of the groups Queensgang and Ladies go Diva . She was also active as a stage actress and played for West Side Story in Kassel. Hopt had other theater engagements in Braunschweig and Hamburg.

Hopt is best known in German-speaking countries as the fixed singing voice of Barbie . She has always lent Barbie her singing voice in the animated films of the same name. She began her work as a voice actress with various assignments as an ensemble role speaker, for example in Numbers - The Logic of Crime , Claymore , The Wire and Ouran High School Host Club . Hopt had his first major roles in the field of synchronization in Digimon Data Squad , Bones and Mobile Suit Gundam 00 . Today she synchronizes numerous American actresses and cartoon characters. Hopt set main roles to music in Chowder , K-On! , Everwood, and How to Make It in America . She became known throughout Germany as the voice of Melissa Rauch ( True Blood , The Big Bang Theory ). Since 2010 she has dubbed Laura Carmichael in the award-winning series Downton Abbey and in 2013 Lauren Lapkus in Are You There, Chelsea? . Hopt also stood in front of the microphone for voice-over productions such as Teen Mom and Plain Jane . She also speaks the main female character Laura in the radio play series Sternenschweif .

Together with Bodo Wartke and the Capital Dance Orchestra she appeared in their program "Swingende Necessity".
