Laura Carmichael
Laura Elizabeth Carmichael (* 1986 in Southampton , Hampshire ) is a British actress .
Life
Laura Carmichael was born in Southampton in 1986 to a software consultant and radiologist. She has a younger and an older sister. She attended Peter Symonds College and until 2007 studied acting at the Old Vic Theater School in Bristol .
Carmichael became known from 2010 for her role as Lady Edith in the television series Downton Abbey . In 2011 she appeared in the spy film Lady, King, As, Spy .
In 2012 she made her theatrical debut at the Vaudeville Theater in London's West End in a production by Anton Chekhov's uncle Vanya .
