Nicolás Artajo

Nicolás Artajo-Kwasniewski (born May 1, 1985 in Berlin ) is a German actor , presenter , audio book speaker , voice actor and director .

Life

Nicolás Artajo comes from a Polish / Spanish / German family, has been in front of the camera since he was three years old and has played in over 30 film and television productions.

From 2002 to 2004 he was at the Startbrett drama school in Berlin. In 2016 he successfully completed a master’s degree in history and German literature at the Humboldt University in Berlin.

In 2015 he played one of the leading roles in the film Meier Müller Schmidt , directed by Sebastian Peterson , which premiered at the 49th Hof International Film Festival and was nominated for the “New German Cinema Award”. In 2018, the horror film Skin Creepers was released in German cinemas, in which he also played the leading role. In the fairy tale film Snow White he played the prince at the side of actress Laura Berlin . From 2005 to 2007 he was part of the main cast of ZDF - Telenovela Ways to Happiness .

Starting in 2011, he presented the handicraft program Art Attack in over 130 episodes , which has since been shown daily on Disney Channel and Disney Junior . With the friendship stories with Winnie the Pooh he hosted another show for Disney in 2012. Several guest appearances followed in various Disney formats, as well as moderation for the Disney Channel summer games.

Artajo has appeared in hundreds of films and series as a voice actor. Among other things, he is the voice of Jamie Bell and Michael Cera . In the Steven Spielberg animated film adaptation, The Adventures of Tintin - The Secret of the Unicorn , he spoke the title role of Tintin .

For many of his audio book readings, he was nominated and awarded the German Audio Book Audience Award and the German Record Critics' Award. As a voice actor, he was nominated for the German Dubbing Award in 2001 for the film Billy Elliot and was awarded the German Dubbing Award in the category "Outstanding TV Series" in 2008 for the series Weeds - Small Deals among Neighbors .

Nicolás Artajo developed the concept for the ARD online series "Backstories" in 2018 and directed the 7 episodes. He also worked repeatedly as a 2-unit director for ARD and made numerous short films. For the film Water under the Bridge , which was produced in Warsaw and Berlin , he was able to win Golden Globe winner Stacy Keach for the leading role in his film. Artajo co-produced the 2018 movie Skin Creepers .

Since 2008 he has also worked as a dubbing director and dialogue book author.

He is the son of the theater director and voice actress Iris Artajo . His brother Maximilian Artajo also works as an actor and voice actor.
