The series is about the patchwork family Krüger and their everyday life. The family members are a high school teacher named Alex , his girlfriend Bea , a reporter, and four children named Jule , Pit , Anna and Lena . Jule , 15, is the oldest of all children and is portrayed as an attractive teenager. Her sister Anna, who is two years younger than her, is intelligent. Pit , Alex's son , spends a lot of time playing computer games and, like his two sisters, is going through puberty . The youngest member of the family is six-year-old Lena . Unlike her siblings, she has a close relationship with Alex .
As a supporting actor plays the best friend of Alex , Oli a greater role. He is single and bequeathed Alex the job at the school where he still works.
