Iris Artajo
Iris Martín-Artajo von Petersdorff Kwaśniewski (* 1962 ) is a German actress , director and author .
Life
Iris Artajo, daughter of the Spanish diplomat, anarchist and writer José Ignacio Martín-Artajo (son of the Spanish Foreign Minister Alberto Martín Artajo ) and the German psychoanalyst and author Christa von Petersdorff , grew up in different countries and languages. After completing the French Abitur in Paris, she completed an acting training at the Paris drama school Cours Simon as well as with Wolfgang Wermelskirch and Erika Dannhoff in Berlin. She received her vocal training from Hannelore Nargorsen in Paris and Gunther Wilhelms in Berlin. She made her state acting degree in 1986.
She then appeared at various Berlin theaters (including the Renaissance Theater, Theater am Kurfürstendamm, Tribune) and worked with directors such as Andrzej Wajda and Giorgio Strehler . Since 1991 she has directed various theater productions herself. In 1998 she founded the theater group Las Tres Lolas (later renamed Artres ), with which she appeared in Berlin and for guest performances throughout Germany.
Iris Artajo has voiced her voice as a voice actress, including Justina Machado , Rosalind Chao , Lauren Vélez , Stefania Sandrelli , Mira Sorvino , Juliette Binoche , Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz . She also works as a speaker for television and radio programs as well as radio plays and audio books.
As a lecturer in acting, she teaches at the Berlin musical school.
Her sons Nicolás and Maximilian Artajo are also active as actors and voice actors.
