Giacomo Gianniotti
Giacomo Gianniotti (born June 19, 1989 in Rome ) is a Canadian-Italian actor . Gianniotti is known for his roles in Reign and Murdoch Mysteries . He currently plays the assistant doctor Dr. Andrew DeLuca on Grey's Anatomy .
Life
Giacomo Gianniotti moved to Toronto with his parents as a child . Gianniotti commuted between Canada and Italy due to various theater jobs, film engagements and TV productions. He attended Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts High School in Toronto and graduated from Humber College's Theater and Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Center.
He had his first appearance as an actor on television in 2010. In 2014 he was seen in a recurring role in the short-lived series Selfie and in the series Reign . Since 2015 he has played the role of Andrew DeLuca in the series Grey's Anatomy . He joined the series at the end of season 11; during the twelfth season, his role was then expanded to a leading role.
In November 2017, he announced his engagement to make-up artist Nichole Gustafson.
