action

A dud from the Second World War explodes on a construction site in Berlin, killing a worker. The bomb diver Alex Fechtner finds a counter from the Third Reich during an inspection after the accident. After initial research by the world war historian Sandra Fechtner, the counter belongs to a secret operation of the SS called Thors Hammer under the direction of Martin Bormann . However, the official authorities consider this theory to be implausible. Meanwhile, another bomb and an identical counter are found, which also shows a 48-hour countdown. Thereupon Commissioner Lobenstein called the world war historian Sandra Fechtner into his team of advisors to pursue her theory after all. When attempting to defuse the bombs, Alex Fechtner and Kalle discover that the bombs are linked and cannot be defused until all bombs are found and defused at the same time. LKA Commissioner Lobenstein is meanwhile convinced of Sandra Fechtner's theory and tries to convince his superiors to evacuate while searching for more bombs under water. In old SED documents there are further indications that are supposed to prove that Operation Thor's Hammer 800 tons of explosives were available. Investigations of the first bomb showed that transistor technology was installed, which led to the realization that the bombs continued to be serviced after the Second World War. Several strangers try to prevent the investigation by force and for this purpose they kill a city senator who wanted to order the evacuation of Berlin. The two bomb divers find the central control unit in a disused factory, while at the same time inspector Lobenstein is hit by strangers when he finds a trail to the people behind them. Sandra Fechtner and Alex Fechtner are now trying to investigate on their own. They kidnap Joachim Schmitz, the alleged head behind Operation Thor's Hammer, and take him to one of the bombs. At the last minute they urge Joachim Schmitz to instruct Kalle to defuse the detonator via radio and thus save all of Berlin.
