Agi Prandhoff
Agi Prandhoff (born September 7, 1921 in Opava , Czechoslovakia ; † August 18, 2018 ; actually Agnes Prandhoff , married Haensel ) was a German actress and voice actress .
Life
Agi Prandhoff was best known for her appearances in West Berlin theaters, including the Renaissance Theater , Theater des Westens and Hansa Theater . But she also played at the State Theater in Stuttgart , at the Kleiner Theater im Zoo (later Fritz-Rémond-Theater) in Frankfurt am Main and at the Vienna Academy Theater .
She was rarely seen in the film and when, in supporting roles, in Seven Times a Week (1957), Rivals of the Manege (1958) and in A Thousand Stars Shine (1959). Her last film appearance was in Loriot's Oedipussi (1988).
As a radio speaker she worked for the broadcaster Free Berlin (SFB) , the RIAS in West Berlin and the Südwestfunk in Baden-Baden . She was often involved in radio plays by Johannes Hendrich . She has also appeared in a number of television films and series , including A man wants to go up , A home for animals and Bülowbogen practice .
Since 1954 Agi Prandhoff also worked in the dubbing . She spoke for Grace Kelly in Mogambo and Green Fire , for Celeste Holm ( The Delicate Trap and The Upper Ten Thousand ), Susan Hayward ( Paris End Station , The Valley of the Dolls ), Lucille Ball ( villa with 100 hp ) or Ava Gardner ( Die small hut ). She also lent her voice to Elsa Martinelli several times, so in Whom the stars shine , It began in Rome and Hatari! . She had a special relationship with her British colleague Kay Kendall and spoke for her in What does Mama know about love? and in one more time with feeling .
Other dubbing roles were Carolyn Jones in My Life Is Rhythm , Maureen O'Hara in The Marriage of Her Parents Announce , Olivia de Havilland in Roots, and Beverly Garland in Agentin mit Herz . Her more recent dubbing has included Elizabeth Hoffman in Dante's Peak (1997), Anne Haney in Auf die Stormy Way, and Eve Brent in The Green Mile (both 1999).
She also lent her voice to cartoon characters, including "Lady Rowena" in Grisu, the little dragon and "Mrs. Warthog" in Kimba, the white lion .
Agi Prandhoff was married to the stage publisher Peter Haensel (Felix Bloch Erben, Berlin) until his death in 1969. Her son Michael Haensel (1943-2017) was a stage director.
