Heinrich Iselin

Heinrich Iselin (born July 28, 1888 in Basel , † January 31, 1955 in Riehen ) was a Swiss officer .

Heinrich Iselin's father died a year after his birth, he had no siblings. Iselin was the nephew of the later Corps Commander Isaak Iselin-Sarasin . He completed a law degree, which he completed in 1912 with a doctorate at the University of Basel .

Iselin did his military service as a militia officer initially with the cavalry , later mainly in staff functions, from 1931 under the later Basel Colonel Corps commander Rudolf Miescher . From 1940 to 1947, despite his previous staff career as a career officer, he led the 4th Division and from 1947 to 1953 the 4th Army Corps.

Heinrich Iselin was married to Irmgard Weber, the couple had two daughters and two sons.
