Sam Worthington
Samuel "Sam" Henry John Worthington (born August 2, 1976 in Godalming , Surrey , England ) is an Australian actor.
Life
Worthington was born in England but moved to Australia with his family as a child . He grew up in Warnbro, a suburb of Rockingham near Perth , Western Australia , attended the John Curtin College of the Arts in Fremantle and worked as a bricklayer after school. He later studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney . After graduating in 1998, he played theater in Sydney and took on his first film and television roles, for example in episodes of the television series Water Rats and Blue Heelers . For his first leading role in a cinema in Bootmen , he was nominated for the AFI Award for Best Actor in 2000. Through this role he also found an agent in Hollywood and thus his first smaller roles in American films ( The Tribunal , shot in 2000) and television series ( JAG - On behalf of honor ).
His breakthrough in Australia came in 2004 with his starring role in Cate Shortlands independent film Somersault . The film won the AFI Award in all 13 categories, including the prize for Best Male Leading Role for Worthington. Also in 2004 he directed the short film Enzo , for which he also composed the music and with which he took part in the Australian short film competition Tropfest .
The success with Somersault was followed by recurring roles in the television series Love My Way and The Surgeon . In 2005 he played the leading role in Fink! and in 2006 the title role in an adaptation of Macbeth that was relocated to the gangster world of Melbourne .
From April 2007, the shooting of James Cameron's Avatar took place, in which Worthington played the main role. The digitally filmed 3D science fiction film was released in December 2009. After completing the Avatar recordings, Worthington made the action film Terminator Salvation with director McG in 2008 , in which he plays the human-machine hybrid Marcus Wright. This was followed by a supporting role in John Madden's The Debt and, together with Keira Knightley , a leading role in Last Night by director Massy Tadjedin . In 2009 he played the lead role of the original from 1981 by Harry Hamlin embodied Perseus in Louis Leterrier remake Clash of the Titans and its continuation from 2012.
He was in a relationship with the stylist Natalie Marks for three years. In February 2011, he announced the separation. He has been in a relationship with model Lara Bingle since October 2013. The two married in December 2014 in a small ceremony and became parents of a son in late March 2015.

German voices
Until 2009, Sam Worthington had a different voice actor in almost every film. In Terminator: The Redemption Tobias Kluckert dubbed it , just as in the Call of Duty series. Since Avatar - Departure for Pandora and Clash of the Titans , Alexander Doering has been his permanent spokesperson .
