Gregory Hoblit

Gregory King Hoblit (born November 27, 1944 in Abilene , Texas , USA ) is an American film producer and film director .

biography

Although born in Texas, Hoblit grew up in Northern California , where his father served as a bailiff. Influenced by his father's occupation, Hoblit later increasingly selected court topics for his feature films.

After graduating from UCLA , Hoblit began working as a television producer in the late 1970s. Among other things, he was responsible for the production of the television series Hill Street Police Station and LA Law . He has also directed numerous episodes.

In 1996 Hoblit made his debut as a feature film director with Twilight , and has since been behind the camera in several well-known thrillers .

He has been married to actress Debrah Farentino since September 10, 1994 and they have a daughter together.
