Hans Daniel Björn Alfredson (born May 23, 1959 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish film director , screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Hans Daniel Björn Alfredson is the son of the actor and comedian Hans Alfredson and the older brother of the film director Tomas Alfredson . Alfredson made his directorial debut in 1993 with Die Tote im Göta Canal and Kommissar Beck: The Man on the Balcony . For the latter, he received a nomination for Best Director and an award for Best Screenplay at the Swedish Guldbagge Film Prize in 1994 . After winning the 1998 directing award for the thriller Tic Tac , Alfredson received international attention when he directed the two literary films Damnation and Forgiveness in 2009 .

In 2018 he published the first part of a trilogy based on short stories by Håkan Nesser published in the 90s with Intrigo - Tod einer Autor . Intrigo - Samaria and Intrigo - Dear Agnes followed in 2019 .
