Life

Together with Tage Danielsson, Hans Alfredson formed the comedian couple “Hasseåtage” and in 1961 the extremely successful entertainment company “Aktiengesellschaft Swedish Words”. The revues, films and records they jointly produced made a significant contribution to Swedish entertainment culture and theater history from the 1960s until the death of Tage Danielsson. After that, Alfredson worked with many other excellent artists.

The reasons for his success as a comedian and creator of entertainment lie in his clear moral stance and commitment to social issues. Alfredson actively worked for Amnesty International . He campaigned against nuclear energy , the destruction of the environment, xenophobia and fascism.

One of his best-known roles is Konrad, the peddler and inventor of Konrad's special glue, in the television series Pippi Longstocking (1968) and the children's film Pippi out of control (1970) based on it. He is also known as "Rüpel" in the Ferien-auf-Saltkrokan series Happy Homecoming , in which he played the role of "Knurrhan" together with stage and film colleague Tage Danielsson .

His two sons are the Swedish directors Daniel Alfredson and Tomas Alfredson .
