Days Danielsson (born February 5, 1928 in Linköping , † October 13, 1985 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish writer and poet, comedian, actor, film producer and director.

Life

After a Master's degree of philosophy at the University of Uppsala , he worked at the Swedish Radio. In 1982, together with Hans Alfredson , he founded the public limited company "Svenska Ord", in German "Swedish words", which produced various theater performances and television programs, among other things.

In 1984, after the death of Olle Hellbom , Danielsson took over the film adaptation of Astrid Lindgren 's children's book Ronja the robber's daughter . Just a short time after completing the film, Danielsson died of skin cancer .

As early as 1967 Danielsson played in the Lindgren film Ferien auf Saltkrokan - Happy Homecoming , alongside his stage and film colleague Hans Alfredson as "Rüpel" the "Knurrhahn".

Danielsson was a social democrat. He took part in the referendum against the use of nuclear energy . The films he directs are part of the standard program on Swedish television, and the cartoon "The fairy tale of Karl-Bertil Johnson's Christmas Eve" has been shown every year since its premiere in 1975 on Christmas Eve. Danielsson 1980 became a Doctor hc of the University of Linköping appointed.
