The University of Linkoping (Swedish: Linköpings universitet , LiU) is the 1975 emerged from the College City University of Linköping in Sweden . The university began in 1963, when the first master’s degrees were offered.
Faculties
Linköping University consists of four faculties
- Linköping University of Technology (Tekniska Högskolan),
- Philosophical faculty (Filosofiska faculteten),
- Medicine (Hälsouniversitet) and
- Pedagogy (Utbildningsvetenskap)
and 23 other departments.
In 1996 a university branch began teaching in the neighboring city of Norrköping . In 2007 there were around 25,000 students enrolled at the university, around a quarter of them in Norrköping.
