The Halmstad University of Applied Sciences ( Swedish : Högskolan i Halmstad ) is a public university in the city of Halmstad in Sweden with 10,674 students (2017) and 616 employees (2017).

Halmstad University was founded in 1983 and is divided into four academies; Stephen Hwang has been the rector of the university since 2017.
