The Södertörn University of Applied Sciences ( Swedish : Södertörns Högskola ) is a state university in the Flemingsberg district in the municipality of Huddinge in Sweden . The university is located 15 km south of Stockholm near the Flemingsberg Pendeltåg train station. The university with around 13,000 students has 300 academic employees.

Södertörn University was founded in 1996 and is divided into four sections. The new campus building was completed in 2002 and the library in 2006. Gustav Amberg has been the rector of the university since 2016.
