The Skövde University of Applied Sciences ( Swedish : Högskolan i Skövde ) is a university in Skövde , Sweden .

overview

The university was officially founded in 1983, but as early as 1977, following a resolution by the Reichstag, teaching began in Skövde under interim management.

Today the university consists of five institutes, where about 30 subjects are taught:

  • Institute for Computer Science
  • Institute for Natural and Health Sciences
  • Institute of Engineering
  • Institute for Bioinformatics
  • Institute for Economics

10,905 students and doctoral candidates are studying and researching at the university (November 10, 2014), including over 4,000 full-time students. Of the 524 employees, around 310 work in teaching and research.
