Robert Pattinson
Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson (born May 13, 1986 in Barnes , London , England ) is a British actor and musician . He became known for his roles as Cedric Diggory in the film adaptations of the Harry Potter novels and as Edward Cullen in the film adaptations of the books of the Twilight saga ( Until (s) dawn ) by Stephenie Meyer .
Life
Robert Pattinson was in 1986 in the London district of Barnes born. In his childhood his mother Clare worked in a modeling agency , his father Richard is a used car dealer. He has two older sisters, Lizzy and Victoria Pattinson. Lizzy Pattinson works as a singer and songwriter .
Pattinson began his acting career at the age of 15, he worked in a theater behind the scenes. When the main actor fell ill, he took over the role. An agent happened to be in the audience. Therefore he joined the Barnes Theater Company in West London. In 2004, he had a supporting role as Giselher in the German television film Die Nibelungen - Der Fluch des Drachen . In the same year he played a small role in Mira Nair's literary adaptation Vanity Fair , but the scenes were cut out in the final version.
In 2005 he took on the role of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and became known to a wider audience. The online version of the Times then declared him the British Star of Tomorrow ( English for 'British Star of Tomorrow').
In October 2006, he starred in the British television film The Haunted Airman .
On December 11, 2007, Pattinson was appointed to the official cast of the male lead Edward Cullen in the film adaptation of the novel Till (s) dawn by Stephenie Meyer , which was released on November 21, 2008 in the United States . There were also two songs recorded by him; "Never Think" and "Let Me Sign" included in the film. He also took part in the four sequels of the film.
In Little Ashes , Pattinson played the Spanish painter Salvador Dalí . He has in the British-starring drama - comedy How To Be (as Arthur ) and the short film The Summer House (as Richard accepted).
At the end of July 2009, Robert was voted “World's Sexiest Man” by the UK edition of Glamor magazine . He secured first place ahead of fellow actors Johnny Depp and Hugh Jackman , who ended up in third place.
In June 2009, Pattinson made the film Remember Me , which was released in early 2010 and in which he not only appeared as a leading actor, but also worked as an executive producer . In 2010 and 2011 other films followed, such as love, or rather not, and water for the elephants .
On February 15, 2018, it was announced that he would take on a role in Robert Eggers ' fantasy horror film The Lighthouse . In addition, Pattinson is said to play the eponymous hero with the real name Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves ' comic adaptation The Batman . In an interview at the beginning of September 2019, the actor revealed that he did not perceive the reactions to his Batman cast as "hateful" as he expected in advance.
Personal
From 2009 to 2013 Pattinson was in a relationship with his film colleague from Twilight , Kristen Stewart . He was engaged to the British musician FKA twigs from January 2015 to 2017 .
