Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2008
The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2008 (KCA) took place on 29 March 2008 at Pauley Pavilion on the campus of University of California in Los Angeles instead. It was the 21st US award of blimps . These are orange, zeppelin-shaped trophies with the logo of the broadcaster Nickelodeon , which were awarded in 18 categories. In addition, Cameron Diaz received the Silver Wannabe Award . The presenter of the ceremony was the actor Jack Black . The two-hour preliminary reports from the “orange carpet” called Countdown to the Kids' Choice Awards were hosted by Lily Collins , J. Boogie and Jeff Sutphen, disguised as the superhero “Pick Boy”.
Live performances
Lil 'Mama presented the title Shawty Get Loose from the "orange carpet" during the pre-show . During the ceremony, first sang The Naked Brothers Band song I Do not Want to Go to School and later in Miley Cyrus titled Girl's Night Out .
Slime showers
Every year, for amusement, some celebrities are given a green slime shower. Nickelodeon sees this as the highest honor. This special honor went to the actors Orlando Bloom , Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford and the presenter Jack Black . In addition, small stunts with slime were shown: Heidi Klum , hanging on a crane, made balloons filled with slime burst on a dartboard. Akon had to trigger slime fountains with a vehicle on a course and Usher sprayed a sumo wrestler down a slide with slime from a water hose .
Categories
As of March 3, 2008, children and young people could vote for their candidates via the Nickelodeon website . The silver Wannabe Award , which was presented to Cameron Diaz , was not up for voting . This award was given from 2001 to 2008 to the idol that children would like to be themselves.
