Ed, Edd, and Eddy is a 1999 American-Canadian animated series directed by Danny Antonucci and aired on Cartoon Network . The series was shown for the first time on kabel eins in Germany. Repetitions followed on Super RTL and Cartoon Network.

The series revolves around the three children Ed, Edd ("Double D") and Eddy, who live in the suburb of Peach Creek, and their efforts to get money from the neighborhood children to buy Gobstopper - their favorite candy. The plans of the three different characters usually go wrong and often end up embarrassing for the children.

Production and publication

The production of the studios aka Cartoon and Funbag Animation Studios was directed by Danny Antonucci , who developed the concept for the series, and Scott Underwood . In 1999 Samantha Daley was responsible for the production , then Christine Danzo until 2005 . The music is by Patric Caird and the artistic direction was the lead author Danny Antonucci.

It was first broadcast on January 4 through June 11, 1999 on Cartoon Network. Four more seasons followed until 2007 with a total of 64 episodes. In addition, five special episodes came out from 2004 to 2008. A television film for the series followed in 2009. The German premiere took place from September 3 to November 12, 2005 on kabel eins . This was followed by a repetition on the same broadcaster and more on the German Cartoon Network. The series was also shown on television in Canada, the Netherlands and Mexico, among others. Warner Home Video released the series on DVD.
