Jamie Lynn Marie Spears (born April 4, 1991 in McComb , Mississippi ) is an American singer and actress .

Life

Jamie Lynn Spears is the younger sister of Bryan and Britney Spears . As a child, she attended a private school in McComb , Mississippi, USA. Spears made several appearances in advertising , including for Pepsi (2002), E-Kara (2002) and Clorox Bleach (2003).

Spears first became known through her sister, later also as a singer. In 2005 she became internationally known as an actress through the television program Zoey 101 , which was broadcast in Germany on Nickelodeon . That same year she was nominated for the Teen Choice Award for this role ; in the following years she was also nominated for the series for the Kids Choice Award and Young Artist Award . The title song Follow Me was sung by Spears himself, written by her sister Britney, among others, and set to music by Drake Bell , known from the Nickelodeon series Drake & Josh . Spears also appeared on the television series All That , for which she was nominated for a 2004 Kids' Choice Award and 2005 Young Artist Award. In 2007 she won this award, but was unable to attend the award ceremony. Spears also starred with her sister in the movie Not a Girl - Crossroads .

Spears gave birth to a daughter in June 2008. The child's father is Casey Aldridge, whom they separated in February 2010.

After she split with Aldridge, she got together with Jamie Watson. In March 2013, Spears announced their engagement on Twitter . A year later, on March 14, 2014, the two tied the knot in New Orleans . Their daughter Ivey Joan Watson was born on April 11, 2018.

On November 25, 2013, her first solo single, How Could I Want More, was released . She is also featured on her sister's eighth studio album with a duet.
