Dylan Thomas Sprouse and Cole Mitchell Sprouse (born August 4, 1992 in Arezzo , Italy ) are identical twins and American actors . They are mainly known from Hotel Zack & Cody and Zack & Cody on board .

Life

Dylan Thomas Sprouse and Cole Mitchell Sprouse were born to US immigrants Matthew Sprouse and Melanie Wright, who were teaching at a language school in Italy at the time. Dylan is 15 minutes older than his brother. Four months later, the family moved to their parents' hometown of Long Beach , California . In 1997 the parents divorced. From 2011 the twins studied at New York University . In 2015, Cole graduated in archeology and Dylan in game design .

On December 16, 2013, photos of Dylan Sprouse appeared on the Internet, in which he posed completely naked in front of the bathroom mirror. A week later, another photo popped up showing a male torso with traces of ejaculate . While Dylan is this not commented commented Cole publishing the pictures on Twitter humorously with "cold in the bathroom, right?" (Engl. Cold, daß bathroom huh? ) According to an insider, an ex-girlfriend for the publication to have been responsible.

Acting career

At a suggestion from their grandmother, acting teacher and actress Jonine Booth Wright, the twins began acting at an early age. Their first appearance in front of the camera was in a commercial for toilet paper . Like many other identical twins, the two shared the same role, which allowed for longer filming time. So they played together from 1993 to 1998 the role of "Patrick Kelly" in the US series Grace (Grace under Fire) on the ABC broadcaster .

1999 Dylan and Cole Sprouse were in Big Daddy alongside Adam Sandler as Julian to see. In early 2000, they had various guest appearances in series such as The Wild Seventies and The Nightmare Room . They were also seen in the film The Master of Disguise. Cole Sprouse became more famous when he played the son of Ross Geller Ben in the series Friends .

From 2005 to August 2007 they stood in front of the camera for the Disney series Hotel Zack & Cody (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody) . They played the main roles of the twins Zack and Cody Martin. Through these roles they gained greater prominence. The film The Kings of Apple Town was shot until November 2008 .

Since the end of January 2009, the spin-off to Hotel Zack & Cody , which bears the name Zack & Cody on board (The Suite Life on Deck) , has been broadcast on the Disney Channel . In addition, the two were regularly represented at the Disney Channel Games from 2006 to 2008 . With the hiring of Zack & Cody on board and the TV movie for the series, the twins fell silent. This was followed by a guest appearance by both of them in the series So Random! .

In 2017, Cole returned to acting by starring on the Riverdale series . Dylan was in 2017 in the film Dismissed as Lucas Ward alongside Kent Osborne to be seen.

German voice actors

Both are predominantly spoken by Robert Schmalz in German so far . In Suddenly Star - A Modern Mark Twain Story both are voiced by Tobias John von Freyend , Cole Sprouse was also voiced as Ben Geller by Lukas Stegmaier in the series Friends from 2000 to 2002 . Dylan Sprouse was voiced by Leon Amann in his role as Shasta in Snow Buddies .
