Lili Pauline Reinhart (born September 13, 1996 in Cleveland , Ohio ) is an American actress best known for her role as Betty Cooper in the US television series Riverdale on the television network The CW .
Career
Lili Reinhart grew up in Bay Village near Cleveland . She began acting as a child in local amateur theaters.
Reinhart's guest appearances include one in the series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit or one in the drama - comedy Kings of Summer (2013). On February 9, 2016, she was cast in the role of Betty Cooper in the teen drama series Riverdale . For this role, she received the Teen Choice Award in the Breakout Star category in 2017 . In 2019 she also played Annabelle in the film Hustlers on the side of Jennifer Lopez , Keke Palmer and Constance Wu .
Private
Lili Reinhart announced in early February 2018 that she suffered from "severe depression" before her role in the Riverdale series . Demi Lovato , who once made her own mental illness public, encouraged her to go public with this information .
She has been in a relationship with fellow actor Cole Sprouse since 2017 .
Reinhart came out as bisexual as part of a protest on the death of George Floyd in early June 2020 for queer people .
