Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2002
The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2002 (KCA) were held on April 20, 2002 in the Barker Hangar on the grounds of Santa Monica Municipal Airport in Santa Monica . It was the 15th US award of blimps . These are orange, zeppelin-shaped trophies with the logo of the broadcaster Nickelodeon , which were awarded in 20 categories. In addition, received Janet Jackson 's silver Wannabe Award and Jessica Alba shared with Steve Irwin the Burp Award for the best burp. The presentation was hosted by actress Rosie O'Donnell , who took on this role for the sixth time in a row, after having assisted Whitney Houston in one-player games in 1996 .
Live performances
At the beginning Pink sang her song Get the Party Started . Usher presented his track U Don't Have to Call and the band B2K sang Uh Huh .
Slime showers
Every year, for amusement, some celebrities are given a green slime shower. Nickelodeon sees this as the highest honor. This special honor went to the actor Adam Sandler and the singer Pink , whereby pink slime was used for the singer. In addition, Dave Mirra jumped with a BMX over a ramp into a tank that was filled with around 19,000 liters of slime.

A vote was taken in advance in 20 categories. In addition, the Burp Award was given for the best burp. In this category, voting was possible live via nick.com during the broadcast . After the audience could not decide between the two finalists in this online survey, Jessica Alba and Steve Irwin shared the victory. The silver Wannabe Award presented to Janet Jackson was not up for voting . This award was given from 2001 to 2008 to the idol that children would like to be themselves.
